Brazil has been in recent years to the world as the center of economic growth and business opportunity in South America and it has attracted the attention of investors worldwide as one of the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India, and China) and top emerging economies. With its economic growth, however, has come an expanded role as a regional power in South America that has caused tension among the other South American countries. The people and governments of other South American countries are taking efforts to protect their culture, their economies, and their independence as Brazil's influence and control over the region's future grows steadily.
Interesting fact: Brazil borders every South American country except Ecuador and Chile.
